Dan McNally is excited about the future of girls tennis at Bishop Chatard, and rightfully so as he is anxious to start the season next year despite recently coming off another successful campaign at the northside school whose team was ranked for the eighth time in 10 seasons. Things are looking up for the program.

Rebels senior Marie Kegley is facing a tall order these days as she prepares for double duty of sorts as she leads her team into girls tennis sectional competition with a chance to win its fourth straight while also wanting to register a win for her second-year coach, who just happens to be her sister.

Eric Potthast is in a good place these days. People talking with him will come away from the conversation knowing that the first-year girls tennis coach is in one of the better coaching situations in the Indianapolis metro area and would wish they could change places with him.

Dan McNally is hard-pressed these days to find much to criticize anything about his girls tennis team. In fact, it's getting to where conversations with his players don't take very long when he grabs a quick visit by a court during a match because they have proven so far this season that they are capable of handling most situations.
