Our second week of  meets went exceptionally well, the team competed in the Pendleton Heights Arabian Roundup invitational on Wednesday the 22nd and the Rushville invitational that next Saturday the 25th.

With the Arabian Roundup meet about 15 degrees cooler than last year at the same meet, times flew and minutes dropped. Junior Bo Leszynski ran a 20:31 and smashed his time from the Beech Grove invitational the week before and was moved up to varsity for the Rushville meet, Senior Michael Michaud placed in the top 20 individual, while junior Allie Bachus and senior Grace Newhart placed in the top 100 and all three received ribbons.

That next Saturday we attended the Rushville invitational where once again, times flew and minutes were dropped from the same meet last year. Sophomore Nick Sitzman set a career PR and all 7 boys varsity runners finished under 21 minutes.

Michaud placed 2nd overall for the meet and the rest of the boys were stuck together like glue the whole race, finishing only about twenty total places from each other, bringing them only points away from a 5th place finish.

The girls team was unfortunately left with only 6 girls competing with one out for an injury. Bachus and Newhart led the girls team to a seventh place finish out of 14 teams and sophomore Caroline Sausser, who is new to the team this year, dropped more time and easily became the 3rd runner on the team. with morale high and times continuing to drop, the Crusaders are looking forward to our next meet on Wednesday!
