Senior Tyler Holt and sophomore Levante Bellamy led the visiting Braves into battle against the Guerin Catholic Golden Eages, giving their team a 21-16 victory.

Guerin started off the game with a 35-yard field goal from junior George Poppas, giving the Eagles a 3-0 lead in the first 90 second of the game. The Braves had to an answer to the field goal at the end of the first quarter when sophomore Bellamy pounded in a 2-yard run for a touchdown and afer the extra point the score stood 7-3 at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter started with Guerin missing a field goal wide right. The Eagles' defense was able to hold the Braves until the last minute before the half when Bellamy had a 28-yard run for his second touchdown of the night, and the after the extra point the score at the half was 14-3 with the Braves on top.

The second half really got going five minutes in when Holt completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to his favorite receiver of the night, Malik Ferguson, bringing the to 21-3. Guerin Catholic's defenise stepped up to end the third quarter with a fumble brought on by a strong blitz by junior Andrew Kiffmeyer, allowing Matt Labus to return the ball 95 yards for a touchdown.   With the Golden Eagles down 21-10, senior quarterback Kyle Coletrain pushed the team down the field on an 80-yard drive that ended with a 1-yard TD run by Coletrain. The Eagles missed a 2-point conversion attempt,  so the score stood at 21-16.

The Eagles were driving for the game-winning score late in the fourth quarter, but Coletrain was intercepted with 30 seconds remaining, and the Braves were able to run out the clock.
