The NBA West Finals are heading to a dramatic Game 7 after the San Antonio Spurs dominated the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-91 on Thursday night.
Fearing elimination, San Antonio delivered its best performance of the postseason behind another huge outing from Victor Wembanyama, who finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
Now, one final game will decide who advances to face the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals.
Spurs Force Game 7 With Dominant Performance
Oklahoma City entered Game 6 with momentum after winning Game 5 at home, but San Antonio completely controlled the night from the opening quarter.

Wembanyama came out aggressively and knocked down three early three-pointers as the Spurs quickly energized the home crowd.
San Antonio also moved the ball sharply throughout the game and finished with 15 made threes. The Thunder never looked comfortable offensively.
San Antonio controlled the pace defensively and repeatedly forced Oklahoma City into rushed possessions during the second half.
By the fourth quarter, the game had already turned into the Spurs’ most convincing win of the series.
Victor Wembanyama Delivers In Biggest Moment In NBA West Finals
Elimination games often define young superstars, and Wembanyama responded with one of the strongest playoff performances of his career.

After a quieter Game 5, the 22-year-old looked fully in control from the opening possession. He stretched Oklahoma City’s defense with confident outside shooting while continuing to impact the game defensively around the rim.
More importantly, he stayed patient under pressure. Instead of forcing difficult shots, Wembanyama consistently made smart reads whenever Oklahoma City sent extra defenders.
His composure helped San Antonio maintain control throughout the game. The performance also placed him alongside David Robinson and Tim Duncan as the only Spurs players to record five postseason games with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Also, young players like Stephon Castle added 17 points and nine assists, while Dylan Harper scored 18 points to continue his strong playoff run.
Spurs Defense Completely Changed The Series
San Antonio’s defense decided the game during a devastating third-quarter stretch.
After Oklahoma City briefly threatened to cut into the lead, the Spurs responded with a crushing 22-0 run that completely shifted the night.
The Thunder went nearly eight minutes without scoring and managed only 13 points in the third quarter — their lowest-scoring quarter of the season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with only 15 points as San Antonio’s defensive pressure disrupted Oklahoma City’s offensive rhythm all night.
The Thunder also received limited production from Jalen Williams, who returned from a hamstring injury and scored just one point in 10 minutes off the bench.
NBA West Finals Set For Must-Watch Finale
The NBA West Finals will now come down to a winner-takes-all Game 7 on May 30 in Oklahoma City.
After dominating Game 6, the Spurs suddenly carry belief and momentum into the biggest game of their season. The Thunder, meanwhile, return home with one final chance to prove why they finished as the Western Conference’s top seed.
One team will move on to the NBA Finals. The other will see its season end one game short. If you enjoy high-pressure playoff basketball, this is a game you simply should not miss.
