England beat India by four wickets in the India vs England 2nd T20I at Old Trafford, Manchester, to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. India posted 190/7 before England reached 191/6 with one over to spare.
The match also saw 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi make his international debut for India. The youngster became the youngest player to represent the country in international cricket.

India elected to bat first after winning the toss. Abhishek Sharma and debutant Vaibhav Sooryavanshi opened the innings well. The youngster scored 14 from 10 balls, including two sixes, before Will Jacks stumped him.
Abhishek Sharma also gave India a good start, scoring 43 from 24 balls, including eight fours and a six. After his dismissal, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer kept India’s innings moving through the middle overs.
Kishan made 49 from 40 balls and struck six fours during his innings. Shreyas Iyer followed with 37 from 22 deliveries.
After both were dismissed, Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 24 from only 11 balls to help India finish on 190/7.

Bethell leads England’s chase in the India vs England 2nd T20I
Arshdeep Singh gave India an excellent start by dismissing Philip Salt with the first ball of the innings. Two balls later, he also removed Jos Buttler to put England under early pressure.
Harry Brook then changed the game, scoring 39 from just 15 balls. He added 67 runs with Jacob Bethell in only 50 deliveries before Axar Patel ended the partnership by dismissing the England captain.
Tom Banton then joined Bethell at the crease, and the pair continued England’s chase with another important partnership. Banton scored 39 from 32 balls before Arshdeep picked up his third wicket of the innings.
Bethell, then with Jofra Archer, scored the needed runs and won the match for the team.
The left-hander remained unbeaten on 76 from 46 balls, hitting five fours and five sixes, while Archer supported him with an unbeaten 10 as England reached 191/6 in 19 overs to seal a four-wicket victory.
For India, Arshdeep took the most wickets in the match, while Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana claimed one wicket each. However, their efforts were not enough to stop England from winning the match.
